My name is Dr. Abdallah Abed, and I am from Gaza. I am writing this message with a lot of thought. I created this account to help me evacuate my family (my mom and dad), 2 sisters , and 2 brothers out of the dangerous area in Gaza to a safe place without war or bombing in Egypt.
I graduated from Zagazig University's medical school in Egypt and returned to Gaza in 2022. From the beginning of the war, I worked as a volunteer at Al-Shifa Hospital, helping injured people in emergencies. While working, I didn't stop thinking about whether my family was still safe. It's a mix of feelings, helping to save people's lives while worrying about my family.
The danger increased, and after a long time of thinking, we decided to leave Gaza and go to Rafah. We left our home and belongings and moved to Rafah.
Life conditions are very bad here in Rafah; we don't have a home, so we live in a tent. The suffering is exacerbated by the spread of disease due to poor hygiene and little food. After arriving in Rafah, I joined a doctor team at Al-Najjar Hospital and continued to work as a volunteer. I also joined another hospital, Al-Emarati Hospital, and worked there.
Because of the long period of war, I started losing passion, and with a few careless mistakes, I am getting tired because my dreams were destroyed. So, I urgently ask for help for me and my family to leave Gaza. Suffering increases day by day; every simple living requirement is not available, and if present, it's very expensive.
As I write these words, the bombing continues, and everyone is at risk, so we need to go to a safe place in Egypt. To cross from Rafah (the way between Gaza and Egypt), we need to pay $5000 for each person, and my family consists of 7 members. So, I hope to raise funds of $35,000 to end this suffering.
