I’m going to loose my hair please help.

Hello, my name is Hannah,

I am 42 years of age and have been diagnosed for the second year with breast cancer.

the previous year i had my 3cm stage 3 advanced cancer removed and had both of my breasts reconstructed as well as having radiotherapy.

September this year I had my yearly mammogram and the found another lump in the same breast.

my world shattered again. My younger children 8 and now 13 are heartbroken that mommy has to have this again.

my cancer is aggressive, advance and is stage 3 again.

I am awaiting to have my breasts removed and reconstructive surgery from my tummy skin. Sadly a week before Christmas I was called into the rainbow suite to be told that my scan has found two active lymph nodes that are in my collar bone and clavicle area. they can not operate because the surgery will kill me.

So I am awaiting to have 18 weeks of chemotherapy before surgery and then radiation therapy at the end. I am off to see the oncologist today (11th Jan 2022) to get my treatment ball rolling.

I am going to loose my hair, even though this is so hard for me to accept (even though I am getting there) it’s not nice for my children to see me hairless. We have already had the silly kids at my daughters school making fun of people with no hair and this is horrid for her to experience and she is worried people will see me and make fun at her (school know but it doesn’t stop kids being kids). This is why I am asking for you to help me. I want to be able to have the most realistic hair that I can possibly purchase. So my children will still see me as I always look. I have chemo hats ready to wear and wig hats to wear so I can take away the look of stumble hair. It is so hard for me to type this and ask for help. All

Money that is not needed for my hair will be used in other good ways to help my friends at the breast cancer unit of Worcestershire, Bromsgrove, redditch and Kidderminster.
