Help me to afford life changing equipment

Hi, Tom Williams here.

For anyone who doesn't know me, here's my story.

In July 2022, I jumped from a bridge.

I was massively lucky to survive, but unfortunately I sustained some life changing injuries, mainly a T-11 spinal fracture which severed my spinal cord and has left me paralysed from the waist down for the rest of my life.

I spent 9 months in hospital undergoing several surgeries and rehabilitation, ready for me to live my second chance at life the best I can.

While I was in hospital, I was given a demonstration of a Levo LCEV power assisted wheelchair, which at the flick of a switch would raise me to a standing position.

As I'm sure you can understand, even just being able to stand again is absolutely life changing, and would have countless benefits in my every day life.

It also comes with health benefits, such as helping with bone density, muscle formation and and promoting a healthy gastro-intestinal system.

I have been told that standing is an essential part of my rehabilitation, yet equipment and resources to help me do this are incredibly limited, and extremely expensive.

Here is where you can help. As previously said, this equipment would be absolutely life changing, but unfortunately it comes at a cost of roughly £8,000.

I am hoping to do several things to help raise these funds.

On the 5th October, my friends and family in the uk hardcore punk scene have come together to put on a benefit gig in The Cab music venue in Newport, We will also have fundraising opportunities throughout the night.
