Hi, my name is Annalacia (Laci). Many of you know me, and for those who don’t, I am a full time medical student preparing to start my third year of school and begin clinical rotations. I just need to get through my board exam first.

I have been working toward this goal since 2014, steadily making my way through my education with the hope of becoming a physician. Getting to this point has taken years of dedication, sacrifice, and persistence, and I am incredibly close to the next step in my training.

Right now, I am in a difficult transition period. My financial aid is temporarily on hold while I prepare for this exam, which means I am currently without income. Without access to additional school assistance or family financial support, covering basic living expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation has become increasingly challenging.

Asking for help does not come easily to me. I have always tried to work things out on my own, but I also recognize that I cannot get through this moment without support. This is a temporary gap, but the stress of staying afloat has made an already demanding time even harder.
