As many of you know I have bravely returned to pursue graduate studies at ACU in Clinical Psychology. I am very very blessed and fortunate to have this opportunity. For the last year, I had prepared wholeheartedly by saving as much money as possible, securing affordable housing, and securing employment. By God's grace I have secured said affordable housing, employment, and was able to save a decent amount of money to help take care of bills for the time it would take me to find a new job.
Sometimes when we cross our t's, dot our i's, and balance our books, things don't turn out the way we had so carefully planned. In fact, often times a bunch of little money monsters will come creeping out of the woodwork to ensure that you will fail miserably in life. Little things, like, having to get vaccinated for things you've already been vaccinated for because your school threw out your previous medical records. Or, the job you were expecting to get ended up not working out (that will happen about 5-10 times in a row), or that the department of education decided to take that one last loan payment out of your bank account prior to deferment because, you know, TECHNICALLY you haven't started school yet.
I know you all know what this is like.
Nevertheless, God is faithful. He would not have brought me this far only to see me stripped of all ability to succeed. So, I have mapped out my budget for all of you that may be interested in helping, so that you may see what exactly your contributions are going toward.
The employment I was able to obtain will provide me with approximately 70% of my expenses, at $800-$850/month after taxes. This is just enough to take care of my car payment, and housing (golly, life can be expensive). Things this income will not cover?
Car insurance $150/month
Books $200.00/month (paying off throughout the semester)
Emergencies $30.00 - probably won't happen every month.
Home visits $40.00/month
Expected need for the months of September through December appears to be about $2,580.00, at $645.00 per month.
I'm certain God will make it work even if that goal is not reached, but I just wanted to crunch the numbers for you.
If your heart is moving you to give, even if only $1.00, pocket change, anything, I will be forever grateful for the impact your contribution will have on my education and professional dreams. And you better believe, I will pay it forward bigtime. Also, if you are unable to give at this time, do know that prayers are worth quite a bit in the kingdom as well.
