My name is Amaya, and for the ones who already know my story you know how many adventures and struggles I passed while trying to get my permanent residency in Montreal, for the people who don’t know I’ll tell a little bit of it.
I’ve been living in Montreal for more than 7 years now, attending a school that I and my grandpa pay for, while in school I’ve been working here and there to be able to pay my bills, the amount of money that I spend to be able to apply to job permits is countless, fortunately, always find a way to get them and that allowed me to keep myself working in this city.
Lately, the journey has been pretty hard, since laws change every day and unfortunately not for the best for immigrants, in my situation as a woman that works in the design field, being by myself all this time, not having family members here, is a big struggle.
In the last few days, the government of Canada refused my job permit application, just a few steps away from being able to obtain my residency, that event was devastating for me, cause it forced me to stop working, not being able to pay my bills and still on need of money to pay my application for the residency that has a price of 2000 CAD, and not to mention the money that I need to spend on lawyer, pay rent, food, etc.
Im really close to get my residence in Canada but I need have the resources to pay my application for it ASAP.
People are free to donate any amount, at this point any help can take me through the next months, and hopefully being able to send the application for my residency will give me a job permit soon (2-3 months).
For the friends and people who know me, people that I've been working with, collaborate on projects, and share moments, you already know about my journey in Montreal, I'll be glad to receive any help.
Is the first time in my life I have found myself in this situation, and believe that I will succeed, but I guess I need to pass through hard moments to see the light ✨.
