If you don’t know me, I’ve been a community organizer and activist fighting for racial justice, gender justice, and economic justice since I was a teenager. Most recently I was working at a nonprofit where I coordinated training and case management for low income people.

I was laid off during the pandemic and I haven’t been able to find a job yet. I moved to the suburbs to try and save money on rent, but that didn’t really work because I haven’t been able to find a job out here.

My unemployment ran out last month, and I’ve applied to a lot of jobs but haven’t had any interviews lately. I’ve tried dropping off resumes. I’ve tried so many get rich quick schemes and now I’m more broker than ever.

I hate having to ask for money, I would rather earn money through hard work but this is an emergency. I’ve waited too long to ask for help. I have gone through all my savings, I tried to sell my belongings, and I’m really trying my best to find a job ASAP.

Goals

Just in case you think I’m asking for money without wanting to work, here are some things I’m working on to earn money..I've been very active in trying to hustle but I'm not seeing the fruits of my labour yet

Please help me get to that next step in my career / life! I will be forever grateful.

I don’t have the capacity to pay people back because I am already in a lot of medical/school debt, but I promise to pay it forward to others once I am back on my feet again.
