Help me survive 42kms and raise some charity cash!
So here’s the deal: in May 2026 I’ll be running my first ever marathon in Vancouver. Yes, a full marathon. That’s 42 kilometres of sweat, questionable life choices, and me seriously regretting all the times I said, “How hard can it be?”
I’ve run a few half marathons before—but apparently, people don’t clap as loudly for doing just half the job. So here I am, going all in.
I’m raising money for the Parkinson’s Society, a cause that matters deeply to me. I have a family member who lives with Parkinson’s. It affects every part of life, and no one should have to face it without support. That’s why this charity is so important.
Now, here’s the ambitious bit: I want to raise 5,000 dollars. Yes, I know, that’s a big number. But I believe we can do it—because every dollar helps fund vital support, research, and care for people living with this disease.
So, please donate! Whether it’s the cost of a post-run Gatorade, a pair of blister plasters, or a small fortune, your contribution will push me one step closer to the finish line (and, hopefully, keep me from crawling the last 10 km).
Thanks so much for your support—I promise to run, sweat, and suffer gloriously in your honour. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Love and thanks,
Tom
