My name is SuSu, and I am a 30-year-old single mom who was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, and for the first time, I’ll be spending Christmas away from my daughter and family as I focus on treatment. We recently moved so I could access the care I need, and it’s been an incredibly difficult transition for both of us. My daughter has been so strong and understanding, and I want to show her just how much she is loved, heard, and seen.

Because of my diagnosis and the financial strain it has caused, I am unable to get her any of the gifts on her wish list this year. Instead, I want to surprise her with a dream bedroom makeover—a space that feels special and comforting during this challenging time. The funds raised will go toward furniture, decor, and, if needed, hiring a contractor to help with the heavy lifting and building, since my health makes it hard for me to do much on my own.
