As many of you know, my grandma gained her angel wings early this morning. There truly aren’t enough words to explain the kind of person she was. She never met a stranger, never held anger in her heart, and loved every single person she came across so deeply and so genuinely. If you knew her, you were lucky… and if she loved you, you felt it.
But I need to take a moment to talk about my mom.
My mom wasn’t just her daughter—she was her everything. Her caregiver, her support system, her constant. For years, my mom built her life around making sure my grandma was taken care of in every way possible. She gave her time, her energy, her heart… without hesitation and without ever asking for anything in return.
And now, not only is she grieving the loss of her mom, but she’s also facing the reality of losing her income at the same time. No matter how much you try to prepare for something like this, you just can’t.
On top of all of that, my mom is raising six kids—and somehow, she has never once missed a beat. She shows up every single day, no matter how hard things get. She is the definition of strength, love, and selflessness. She pours everything she has into everyone else… just like her mom always did.
So this is me, as her daughter, asking for a little help to help her. Anything at all—even just $1—would mean more than I can put into words. I just want to help take a little bit of the weight off her shoulders and give her some peace of mind while she’s trying to navigate something so heavy.
If you can find it in your heart to help, please know it will never go unnoticed, and it will mean everything to our family.
And Mom… when you see this, I hope you know how deeply you are loved. You are such a special person, and I don’t know where I’d be without you. The world is a better place because you’re in it.
