A little over a month ago, Becky walked into the emergency room in Winchester, never imagining what was about to happen. She had been suffering for over 30 hours with a terrible migraine and some strange symptoms. A CT scan was ordered on a bit of whim and out of an abundance of caution.
The rest of the day was a blur. Doctors coming in and out, family being called. We learned that Becky's migraines (which she's had for many years) and other symptoms that had been explained away for a long time were being caused by a tumor.
Becky has already undergone one surgery to remove the tumor and is headed for additional radiation treatment to help ensure she has the best chance at a full recovery and a long, healthy life. Benefits and leave for teachers are not what they should be, so I'm working to help her and Victor take care of their mortgage for half of the year. Victor works multiple jobs and Becky tutors on top of teaching, so I'm hopeful that helping them in this way will allow them to really focus on getting Becky better as a family.
If you can help at all, know that we all greatly appreciate it!!
