Help Me Study Abroad in Shanghai This Summer!

A MESSAGE FROM MY NIECE TATI ❤️

Hi! My name is Tatiana, and I’m a 16 year-old high school junior from NYC. I’m so excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the CIEE Global Navigator High School Summer Abroad program—and this summer, I’ll be spending the month of July in Shanghai, China!

I got into the Chinese Language and Culture program, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited. I’ve always loved learning about different cultures, and I’ve had a special interest in Chinese language and traditions for a while now. This program will let me take language classes, live with a host family, explore the city, and really experience what life in China is like. I’ll be practicing Mandarin every day, eating traditional food, and learning how to be more independent before I head into senior year.

A little about me: I go to LaGuardia High School and currently have a 3.9 GPA. I’m really into art, sports and I’m always looking for ways to challenge myself and grow. I’ll be getting ready to go off to college before you know it, and I know this experience will help me get one step closer to that dream.

CIEE is a nonprofit that helps students travel and study abroad. I feel so lucky to have been accepted, but the program costs (flights, tuition, living expenses etc.) are still a lot to cover. That’s why I’m asking for your help. If you’re able to donate—whether it’s a little or a lot—it would mean everything to me.
