Help Me Study Abroad in Italy – First-Gen College Student

Hi Everyone,

I’m Victor Estrada, a first-generation college student at Fresno State University majoring in Architectural Studies. I'm excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the USAC Summer 2025 Study Abroad Program in Verona, Italy! I will be studying Renaissance Art and Architecture, which is a dream come true for someone passionate about architecture.

This program is a huge step toward my career goals. Getting to see and learn from some of the world’s most iconic buildings up close will give me the kind of experience that you just can’t get from a textbook. The program alone costs around $7,000. I’ve been working two jobs, saving up, and applying for scholarships to make this happen, but I still need a little extra help towards program fees, airfare, housing, meals, local transportation, and travel insurance.

As the oldest of four siblings and the first in my family to attend college, this opportunity means a lot to me. I strive to be a strong role model for my younger siblings. These experiences fuel my determination to push through challenges and stay focused on both my academic and career goals.

Your support in my journey means the world to me. This isn’t just a trip, it’s a big step toward my future and the goals I’ve been working hard to reach.
