Hello, my name is Abbagayl, and I was accepted into a study abroad program with Mesa Community College in Nice, France ✨️!! I leave for this trip around May 20th 2026 and will be gone for 5 weeks!!! Please consider donating to help me go on this amazing trip to study abroad, and experience many new things!
I have officially paid my program fees in full ($2,935) and covered part of my class costs. This was a huge milestone for me, and I truly appreciate all of the support, donations, and shares that helped me get this far!
Since I didn’t fully reach my original goal, I’m now facing the hardest part covering my bills while I’m gone and I need help covering a little more than a month’s worth of bills, which is around $3,500. My flight is already covered, but I still have financial responsibilities at home that I need to stay on top of while I’m abroad. My program includes housing, some meals, coursework, and excursions in Nice, so this support would go directly toward helping me stay financially stable back home.
This opportunity means so much to me. I’ll be taking Personal and Exploratory Writing and Field Biology, and I’m especially excited to immerse myself in the French language, live with a host family, and experience a completely new environment. This truly feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I’m doing everything I can to make it happen without falling behind financially. I’m a licensed massage therapist, working part time for my own business as well as at a chiropractor’s office. I even picked up a third job doing Uber Eats deliveries to try to save more, but I still need help. With the extra strain on my car, I’m now dealing with suspension issues that I can’t afford to fix on my own. The stress is overwhelming as I havent even met all of the qualifications of many scholarships that ive looked into, so everything is out of pocket.
I really want to experience as much of Europe as possible while I’m there. My plan is to fly nonstop into London, spend a little time exploring, then take a train to Paris, and continue on to Nice where my study abroad program will take place for 3 weeks and 2 days. I actually got this idea from my program director, since she prefers trains over flying, and it felt perfect for me since I have flying anxiety and have never experienced train travel before. Because Nice is so close to Italy, I’m hoping to take advantage of our free weekend to explore a bit of Italy as well. At the end of the program, my director plans to take any interested students to Paris, where she’ll guide us through some of the most famous museums and even cover our tickets. After that, I’ll head back to London with her before flying home. I really want to take advantage of this moment and experience as many new places and opportunities as I can.
Any donation amount or even just sharing this would mean more than you know and will help tremendously. If 100 people donate $30 each, I’ll be able to reach my goal and make this experience possible. Even the smallest contribution brings me one step closer, and every bit of support truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey and helping to make all of these new and amazing experiences happen!
