Help Me Stay in School & Pursue My Dreams in Japan
Hi! My name is Miracle Devine, and I’m a 22-year-old college student currently studying at Yamanashi Gakuin Daigaku in Japan.
I moved here from Atlanta, Georgia, at 21 after selling my car and working multiple jobs to afford my first year of tuition. It was a huge leap of faith, but one I’ll never regret.
Since arriving in Japan, I’ve been working hard to maintain a 3.0 GPA, studying full-time while juggling part-time jobs and learning Japanese. It hasn’t been easy, but I truly love my life here. Japan has become my home, and I’ve grown so much both academically and personally.
Unfortunately, my family is not in a position to help financially, and I’m now facing a tough reality: if I can’t come up with enough money to cover the rest of my tuition, I’ll be forced to return to the U.S., delay my graduation, and start over again from scratch. With the current job market in Atlanta, that path feels uncertain and overwhelming.
But I’m not giving up.
My dream is to work in the entertainment industry, and while I know a degree isn’t everything, the experiences, knowledge, and growth I’ve gained here have been life-changing. My singing has improved, my worldview has expanded, and I’ve discovered who I want to be — all because I took that leap to study abroad.
If you can support me in any way, whether it’s $5 or simply sharing my story, I would be deeply grateful. Every donation will go directly toward tuition and books for my remaining five semesters.
Thank you for helping me continue this journey.
With all my heart — thank you. ✨
Love,
Miracle Devine
