Hi everyone, I'm raising $1500 to pay my college dorm rent for the month of February. I got sick this month and missed a week of work and then when I returned, we had some cancelled sails, so it's been hard this month. I'm still in the process of finding another job to supplement my income. Besides all this, I am doing fine! It's just I hit a snag this month with my health and work, and I'd really like to maintain my housing stability so I can focus on my classes and do well at work. I currently have $300 set aside to invest in my health and educational expenses and a small $500 Emergency Fund right now, and this is exactly what I'd use it for, but I would like to keep my Emergency Fund for when I desperately desperately need it, and raise money on GoFundMe. Overall, I'm passionate in and working toward building a longer-term Emergency Fund that covers 3-6 months of living expenses, so the next time something like this happens, I'll be okay! I've also added an additional $60 to the $1500 because GoFundMe takes a percentage out when you withdraw. Thanks so much for taking time to read my story and your support!
