At the start of this year, my family and I went through one of the hardest times of our lives we were evicted from our apartment. Not long after, my dad lost his job due to his age, and we’ve been struggling ever since. We were blessed to finally find a new apartment, but every month has been a fight just to keep up with rent, utilities, and the basics.

Now, I’ve been accepted into college and was ready to start my journey toward a better future. I also earned the opportunity to join the college wrestling team, something I’ve worked hard for and dreamed about for years. But my financial aid still hasn’t come through, and I’ve just been told I need to pay $5,583.50 by tomorrow to stay enrolled and be part of the team. My family simply doesn’t have it every cent we have goes toward surviving.

This tuition isn’t just about going to class it’s about pursuing an education, competing in a sport I love, and building a future where I can support my family. Without it, I’ll have to drop out before I even get started, losing my spot on the wrestling team and the chance to represent my school.
