Help Me Stay in College and Build a Better Future
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mihantsa, and I am an international student studying Operations and Supply Chain Management in the United States. I am humbly reaching out for help as I face an urgent financial situation that could end my education and force me to return to my home country with no degree and no future prospects.
WHY I NEED YOUR HELP:
Due to financial hardship, I owe my school $22,000 USD in unpaid tuition, which has placed a hold on my account. This hold prevents me from enrolling in classes for the spring semester. Without enrollment, I risk losing my student visa and being forced to leave the United States.
I am determined to pay off this debt and complete my degree, but I need your support to stay enrolled. My school allows payment plans, and if I can raise the necessary funds to lift the hold, I can continue making monthly payments of $1,000 while working toward my goals.
MY BACKGROUND AND GOALS:
I am halfway through my undergraduate program, having completed two years with two years left to go. Education is my only chance to secure a stable and independent future. Without a degree, I will have no opportunities in my home country, Madagascar, which is one of the world’s poorest countries. The economy is struggling, and job prospects for women without qualifications are almost nonexistent.
I’ve worked hard to build a path forward:
1 I plan to take a course this spring that will allow me to qualify for a CPT (Curricular Practical Training) work permit.
2 With the CPT, I will secure a job in my field by June or July while continuing to work hard to pay off my tuition.
3 My field (supply chain management and data analysis) is in high demand, and I am confident in my ability to succeed and contribute meaningfully.
This is my one chance to complete my education and build a better life for myself.
What Your Support Will Do
Your contributions will help me:
• Pay the $22,000 balance needed to lift the hold on my account and stay enrolled.
• Continue my education and remain in the U.S. to complete my degree.
• Start working in my field through a CPT program, allowing me to contribute more financially.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Returning to Madagascar without a degree is not an option for me as I have lived outside my country for years and have no support. Without education or qualifications, I would have no means of supporting myself.
This is not just about my education, it’s about my future. My father worked hard to send me here, and I’ve put everything I have into pursuing my dream. I don’t want to lose all the progress I’ve made or waste the sacrifices that have been made to get me this far.
EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS
Any amount you can give will bring me closer to staying in school and securing a better future. If you’re unable to contribute, sharing this campaign with others would also mean the world to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me during this critical moment in my life.
With love and gratitude,
Mihantsa
