I’ve never been one to seek out help, but I’ve been feeling like a new person lately.

I recently was a victim of domestic violence, He is now in jail and being charged on a felony level. I am safe now. A no-contact order is in place, so let the healing process begin.

My lease is ending soon, and to renew, I need to pay all remaining balances. I've tried to save and seek assistance, but the government waitlist is long. There are domestic violence resources I could use; however, it’s something called restitution and will only be given to me once it is paid by the offender, which is going to be quite some time given he is in jail. My due date to pay in full is June 14 or I will be evicted.

If I reach my fundraiser amount, it will help cover overdue rent and late fees, allowing me to renew my lease and secure my stability going forward. Getting caught up with bills will give me a fresh start.
