Help Me Chase My Rugby Dream

Heyy, my name is Anri Earle, and I am a student-athlete at Oaklands College, where I am part of the Saracens Women's Rugby Academy. Alongside my passion for rugby, I am pursuing a BTEC in Sports Coaching and Development.

I’m writing to ask for your support as I face considerable challenges with my daily commute to college. Each day, my Dad drops me at Harlow bus station on his way to work in London, a trip that takes about 30-40 minutes by motorbike. From there, I have to take a bus and walk the rest of the way to college, adding up to a 160 - 180 minute journey each way. For me to get to college on time, this means I have to get up at 4AM and get back home at 8PM. That means I spend almost six hours commuting daily, which is exhausting and impacts both my studies and rugby development. It’s also a strain on my dad, who does this every day to help me chase my dream.

Unfortunately, my family is not in a position to cover the costs of accommodation on-site of college, and I am not eligible for a bursary. Despite this, I am committed to finding a way to ease the burden, so I’ve started saving , but I still need help to make this possible as the sum adds up to around 14,000 for both years. I am currently first on the waiting list for when a room opens up but want to get ahead of the upcoming fees.

Living on campus will allow me to fully focus on my studies and rugby, giving me the best chance to progress in both my education and sport. Any help you can offer - whether by donating or sharing this page - will bring me closer to achieving my goals. My dream is to continue growing as an athlete, with the ultimate aim of representing Saracens at the highest level and possibly playing for England one day.
