Help Me Stay Afloat After Losing My Grandpa

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be here, but I’m reaching out for help during one of the hardest times in my life.

Earlier this year, I lost my grandpa — the man who raised me, supported me, and helped keep my world stable. He paid all the household bills and covered groceries because I was going through a very expensive divorce from an abusive spouse. Since his passing, I’ve taken on all of those responsibilities alone, and it’s been overwhelming.

I work full-time as a tax accountant and juggle side hustles to make ends meet, but it’s just not enough. I’ve absorbed every bill he used to cover — mortgage, utilities, food, everything. On top of that, I’m trying to handle the legal side of his estate, which has brought on unexpected attorney fees I simply can’t afford.

So far, I’ve paid my estate attorney over $8,000, and I was just hit with a new $1,200 bill that I have no way of paying. My credit cards are maxed out. I’m doing everything I can, but I’m drowning financially.
