Help me start Soft Soul Studio!!! :)

Hello! My name is Natalia (she/they). I am a queer, vegan and witchy tattoo artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I am creating this fundraiser to help fund a private studio that I can confidently say is a true safe space for EVERYBODY. Over the past few years I was working at other tattoo studios and while each was “trying” to make a “safe space”, there were times where clients or myself were being put in uncomfortable, vulnerable and triggering situations. It was always my dream to create a place where I can ensure the safety of my clients and safety for myself. Having recently left a place I was working - I am taking this time and opportunity to make that dream come true faster than I expected. This is why I started the fundraiser, to ask this beautiful community for a helping hand in making this a reality.

I have already found a beautiful space and signed a lease on it. The aim - a private tattoo studio that will be a true safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, POC and everyone who would like a tattoo in a non-traditional shop, where your voice is heard and needs are respected and you can feel comfortable. The space will be neurodivergent & anxiety friendly and trauma informed to make tattooing a relaxing and pleasant self care experience. I have also been vegan for many years so the studio will be fully vegan and eco friendly so you can get a beautiful tattoo without destroying the planet.

On top of tattooing, I have been dedicating the past few months to learning shamanic healing, reiki energy healing and other spiritual practices. My own studio will finally allow me to marry the art of tattooing with my spiritual practises and offer those to you in a private ritual space. I envision the space to also be opened up further to the community for gatherings, queer friendly moon circles, workshops and other activities to build our community!

The funds will go directly towards finishing the refurbishment of the property, licensing fees, ensuring disability access and making the space wheelchair friendly, installing a sink, building an extra wall, buying furniture, banners, printers, eco friendly equipment and decor for finishing touches.
