Hello,

My name is Jenai and I am 46 years old. My path has been intertwined with that of my husband since I was just 14, and for many years, I believed that our destinies were entwined.

We embarked on the adventure of parenthood at a tender age, a choice we embraced wholeheartedly. However, as I welcomed my first daughter into the world at 17, I found myself putting my own educational aspirations on hold to support my husband's pursuit of higher education. The sacrifice was significant, but it was made with love to ensure the well-being of our family.

While raising our two beautiful daughters, I also dedicated myself to a full-time role as an educational support professional for children and young adults.

For more than three decades, I stood by my husband's side, offering unwavering support and encouragement. My priority was to bolster his career growth by advocating for his continued education within his field. We followed my husband as a family wherever his career took us.

Regrettably, in 2020, our journey took an unexpected turn when he decided to part ways and start over.

I realised that to pave a fresh path forward, I need to build a career and must address the educational opportunities I set aside in my youth. I am determined to construct a career for myself that aligns with my passion for working with children and young adults.

While my experience and skill set is vast in this field, they are not matched by formal qualifications.

It is my aspiration to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, enabling me to both fulfill my own educational journey and enhance my ability to make a profound impact on the lives of others. This program would be followed by a post-graduate course in the same field. However, the financial constraints I currently face don't allow me to do this by myself and I need your help.

With humility, I reach out to you, seeking a helping hand to realize this aspiration. My course starts this October 2023, a step toward to crafting a future to support myself and others.
