My name is Susan and I desperately need your help. I am trying to avoid becoming homeless. I have a full-time job and I am doing all I can to support myself, but the bills are more than I can handle right now. Let me explain.

 

My Dad was a WW2 Navy Vet and recently passed away. He was 94.

Dad was in the U.S.S. Randolph and on March 11, 1945, a Kamikaze hit the Randolph on the starboard side aft just below the flight deck, killing 27 men. The plane missed him by about 20 feet.

 

My Dad was everything to me and I have spent the last 20 years taking care of him. I am now facing the very real and frightening reality that I am set to lose everything.

 

Over the years Dad developed multiple health issues and dementia for the past couple of years.

 

He loved his country and I have devoted my life to taking care of him. I want to honor his memory by trying to move on and live a good life that he would be proud of.

 

It is hard enough losing my Dad, but now I have to start my life completely over. I was told the house would be passed to me, but I recently discovered that it was reverse mortgaged, and I can’t afford to buy it back. He did not have a Will.

 

I am looking to raise funds to help me cover the legal fees for Probate as I have no savings. I also need to find affordable housing, and this is so scarce here now. I’m grieving and also very frightened now! Any help would mean the world to me.

 

Update: the legal fees for the probate (if uncontested) are $2250.  I need to raise this ASAP.    

 

If you can, please help. It would change my life and keep me from becoming homeless.
