Hi everyone,

My name is Rui Ferreira , and I’m going through the hardest time of my life.

After 7 years working for the same company in the UK, with staff accommodation included, everything changed suddenly. I lost my job — and with it, the place I lived. Now, I find myself homeless in Birmingham, without a support network and without the resources to start over.

I never imagined this would happen to me. I’ve always been hardworking, responsible, and independent. But sometimes, all it takes is one bad turn and everything falls apart. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but sleeping on the street and facing each day not knowing where I’ll go or what I’ll eat is incredibly hard.

I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of getting some help to rebuild my life. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go toward:

• Food and basic hygiene

• A safe place to sleep (even short-term accommodation)

• Clean clothes

• Transport costs to attend job interviews

• A chance to get back on my feet
