Help Me Start My Venture to Inspire My Community

My name is Hamdullah Hamdard. I am a caring father and a husband, I am looking to build a new life in the United States after fleeing from the Taliban. And today I need your help.

When I was young, I always had a dream to study journalism and show that we have a world

full of hearts and not bombs. In 2015 I established a media production company under the name of Chamma Media. The purpose of forming a production company was to collect and publish positive news and show that my country was not a place of war but love.

I produced many great digital pieces. As part of the company’s mission to add positively to the world, I trained many children working on the street and youth in filmmaking, photography, and writing inspiring stories. I supported them in finding jobs in local media. Additionally, I assisted foreign filmmakers, directors, and journalists to make the best stories out of the warzone.

We were becoming optimistic about the future but then two years ago when the Taliban took control, everything changed in 24 hours! We forgot about dreams and strived to stay alive. Unfortunately, I as an independent journalist and as an international organization worker had to make a decision and leave my hometown forever and became a dreamer once again. Now I want to accomplish my dreams and my commitment to creating positive media content in Saint Louis. Therefore, I need your help to start once again.

Saint Louis was the place where every person assisted me to resettle, even when they didn’t know my name or my story. There were millions and millions of favors that I cannot forget. In short, I would say St. Louis is a welcoming place for migrants to resettle as foreign nationals, and succeed in their life. Therefore, this fact gives me hope and the desire to give back to this new community.

In Saint Louis, many experiences need to be reflected through digital pieces including the new start for immigrants who suffered insecurities in their home countries. As someone who wants to re-establish Chamma Media, I want to reflect the diverse realities of Saint Louis from a positive perspective through content production. Chamma Media will offer innovative and professional photography, videography, documentaries, screenwriting, and editing services to individuals and businesses while also training people in need and deploying them with the knowledge of digital art. Therefore, this is the reason I’m reaching out to you. If I am assisted achieve my goal on
