My name is Ross Bogantes, and I’m 18 years old. I live with several serious medical conditions, including EPI, chronic POTS, tachycardia, PANS, and others that affect my daily life. Because of these conditions, I experience extreme fatigue, a weakened immune system, and limits on how long I can be in the sun or do any physical labor. This has made it nearly impossible for me to work a normal job, even though I want to support myself.
Recently, I was given an incredible opportunity: a local priest offered me a food truck trailer, with the condition that I repay a small fee once I am able to start earning income. My dream is to turn it into a small business selling New Orleans–style snowballs and Bingsu, (which many friends have asked me to sell).
Unfortunately, the trailer is a 10,000 lb metal unit and needs significant repairs before it can operate safely. I also don’t have a vehicle — especially not one strong enough to tow something this size — and I don’t currently have the funds to get the state permits and equipment required to legally open.
That’s why I’m turning to GoFundMe. I’m asking for help to repair the trailer, acquire a safe tow vehicle, and cover the startup and permit costs so I can bring this business to life. My goal is to create a job that I can physically handle, one that allows me to support myself without putting my health at risk.
Any support, even sharing this page, truly means the world to me. Thank you for helping me work toward independence and a future I can build despite my medical challenges.
