Hello friends! This is a difficult ask, but after six years of trying to leave a toxic and abusive relationship, I am finally at the point of retiring from the military and moving across the country. To do this, I need to finalize my divorce so I can move on without any ties to my past. My ex has made it clear that he plans to fight for half my pension, half the house he never helped pay for, and expects me to pay spousal support. I started a new business to help afford the lawyer I need, but after experiencing an unexpected loss and several medical setbacks, I have been unable to run my paint party business while I await surgery.

During this time, I have had to cut all direct communication with my ex as he has started down a path involving drugs and crimes that I cannot be associated with. I also have repairs around my home that I need to complete in order to sell the house and move, but my medical issues have prevented me from supplementing my income. As much as I haven't wanted to create this fundraiser, I am in a bind.
