Help Me Start an Animal Rescue in the Country

Donation protected

For the past four years, I have dedicated my life to fostering and rescuing dogs, providing them with a loving home and a chance to thrive. Unfortunately, due to city regulations and a challenging situation with a neighbor, I am facing fines for being ""over limit" which should be read as, ""While we regularly look away and ignore the dame situation from others, and even said we would with you, you have annoyed us by pointing out that if that's the case then we should issue kennel permits, so now you may not foster any at all". In fact, you're going to pay us $100 per dog to keep them alive. This has become a significant obstacle in my mission to help these sentient beings, whom I believe have complex emotions and thoughts far beyond what most people can, or are willing to, understand.

My journey into animal rescue is deeply personal. As a child, I experienced trauma from a variety of forms of abuse, and, regrettably, took out my pain on animals who were defenseless. Now, rescuing dogs is part of my healing journey, allowing me to grow spiritually and emotionally while making amends for my past actions. I am committed to providing these dogs with the care and love they deserve.

For that I am being fined $600 so far by a Draconian city agency that would sooner leave them on the side of lonely country roads to be killed or hit by cars, or have them brought in to euthenize them in just 4 days, as a cost-cutting measure.

Living in the central San Joaquin Valley, I travel all over the state to trap dogs for people, showcasing my dedication to animal rescue. In addition to my rescue efforts, I have been a Special Education teacher for the past 20 years and hold a Master's Degree in School Administration & Leadership. I am also the only male in my family to finish high school and the only person to earn a degree. I play five instruments and write songs, some about my dogs and others about rescue. To continue my rescue efforts without the constraints of city regulations, I plan to move to the country. There, I can offer the dogs a spacious environment where they can play freely and express themselves without complaints. This move will enable me to expand my rescue operations and ensure that these wonderful animals have a safe haven. I proudly call myself the "DOGITTR," which is also my license plate, and I own the domain name www.dogittr.com, where I plan to build a full website for my rescue efforts. Your support will help cover the fines and the costs associated with selling my house and relocating, allowing me to continue my mission of animal rescue without harassment.

When a dog comes to you and places its head in your lap, its paw on your shoulder, or its nose in your face, it is thinking and deciding it wants to show and receive affection. To me, dogs are senders and receivers of love, and the very thought of "euthanizing for space" sickens me. You may as well stomp on love.
