HSCT Mexico to stop progression of Primary Progressive MS
Donation protected
My name is Graham Mackay and I’m reaching out to share my story and seek your support in a life-changing journey.
At 49 years old, I have always been a hardworking individual. For nearly three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to being a joiner, taking pride in building and creating. However, almost three years ago, my life took a challenging turn when I suffered a head trauma that marked the beginning of a difficult journey.
After months of appointments, tests, and uncertainty, I was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS). This diagnosis has been life-altering, impacting my mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. It’s been a tough road, filled with challenges that I never anticipated.
I’ve learned about a potentially life-changing treatment called hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Unfortunately, this treatment is not available to me through the NHS in the UK. After researching and speaking with others who have undergone HSCT, I believe this could offer me a chance to reclaim my life and improve my future.
The cost of the treatment in Mexico, flights, care and aftercare back in the UK will be approx £55,000—a daunting figure that I cannot manage on my own. That’s why I’m turning to you, my friends, family, and community, to ask for your help. Your support, no matter how small, will bring me closer to this treatment and the hope of a better tomorrow.
Every donation will help me not only in my fight against MS but also in my journey to regain some of my independence. I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide, whether it’s a financial contribution or simply sharing my story.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey. Together, we can help make a significant change in my life.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Graham Mackay
