I never thought this would be my life. I started this, in hopes Cancer doesn’t take more from me than it already has, and will during my aggressive treatment.
I was diagnosed with Paget's Disease and Multicentric Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in November 2025, and everything was quickly turned upside down!
I was told it was "eczema" and it would go away. 10 months later that wrong diagnosis turned into several tests, biopsies, ultrasounds, MRIs, PET Scans, CT Scans…and then quickly became the overwhelming reality of fighting for my life.
I had double mastectomy at Roswell, in February 2026, and because all the lymph nodes that were removed for pathology came back positive for cancer, I then had a complete lymph node dissection in March 2026. Pathology on the complete dissection looks as gruesome as the Mastectomy (7/10 positive nodes). 12 positive nodes-that puts me at stage 3C.
I am dealing with a wound vac and infection right now. I will start aggressive, dose dense AC Chemo on 4/23 for 4 months. Then I will also need radiation, bone therapy and years of endocrine therapy. It is all so incredibly overwhelming even before you factor in the costs.
Over the next several months I will be facing intensive treatments and appointments all while being unable to work. I am trying to remain focused on healing and fighting, but the financial strain that comes with Cancer is something we cannot fight alone. My husband Joe, works full time and is my sole caretaker.
Medical bills, medications, travel to and from appointments, and everyday living expenses are quickly adding up during a time when I am unable to work, and my husband has to take days off to take me to appointments a caregiver is required. This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of that burden so I can focus my energy where it matters most… kicking Cancers butt!!
If you’re able to contribute, no matter the amount, it will help ease some stress and financial strain. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page and keeping me in your thoughts and prayers would mean so much to us!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, kindness, and love during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Your encouragement reminds me that I’m not fighting this battle alone.
I thank you, so very much for helping us in this fight! I have a long way to go, but I will get it conquered... one step at a time!
Much Love - Tami & Joe
