I am currently on an extended leave of absence so I can care for my dad, Walt Mercer, who is receiving in‑home hospice care. Being by his side during this time is something I wouldn’t trade for anything, but it has taken a tremendous emotional and physical toll on me and my family. With no income coming in, the financial strain has become incredibly heavy, adding stress to an already heartbreaking chapter of our lives.
Anyone who knows me knows how hard it is for me to ask for help. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, so reaching out like this shows just how overwhelming things have become. If you feel moved to support me during this time, I would be deeply, genuinely grateful. Every bit of help goes directly toward keeping my bills paid and giving me the ability to stay focused on my dad and my family when they need me most.
If you’re not in a position to give, please know that I understand completely. Times are tough for so many people, and I’m grateful for kindness in any form—whether it’s a donation, a share, a prayer, or simply keeping us in your thoughts.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your compassion. It means more than I can put into words.
