Help Me Sit for My Exams and Continue My Education

I’m a 19-year-old Sudanese student who traveled abroad to continue my university education with a heart full of hope, determined to build a better future for myself and my family.

Before the war, my life looked very different. But everything changed when my family and I were forced to flee our home in Khartoum to one of the states. We left behind stability, comfort, and security. We had no steady income, and soon after, I lost my father — the person who once carried the financial burden of our home.

Even in the face of all that pain, I didn’t give up. I managed to pay half of my first semester’s tuition, doing everything I could to stay enrolled and chase my dream. But now, the university is asking for the remaining balance — along with new fees for exams, rent, study materials, and basic living expenses — and I have no way to cover them on my own.

I’ve explained my situation to the university multiple times. They’ve been incredibly patient, but their ability to delay payment is coming to an end. I’ve been warned that I may be blocked from taking my exams if I don’t pay soon — and the thought of all my hard work being wasted is breaking my heart. What hurts even more is knowing that my grades are excellent — mostly A’s — and I’m so close to achieving something meaningful.

I need to raise $6,000 to cover the rest of my first-year tuition, exam fees, rent, food, transportation, and essential academic supplies. Every dollar will go toward keeping me in school and helping me continue this journey.

I never imagined I would be in this position — asking for help from strangers — but today, I have no other choice. For personal reasons, I won’t include a photo of myself, but I hope the truth of my story speaks for itself.

I’m fighting every day — not just for myself, but for my mother and younger siblings who are still in Sudan, struggling to survive. I want to graduate and support them, just like my father once supported us.
