To my dear friends and family:
I usually don't ask for much, but right now I'm in a bind and I need some help!
As most of you know, last November I started working as a flight attendant again, this time with Southwest Airlines. It's been a long time coming, and I'm so happy to be back in the friendly skies, and doing my best to make them friendlier!
While the job is going great and I'm feeling right at home at 35,000 feet, on the ground it's a different story! New flight attendants get paid very little to start, and go almost three months until they get their first real paycheck. So, as you can imagine, paying bills, feeding animals, (and me!) and coming up with enough money to cover moving expenses and rental fees has been almost impossible. I've been able to struggle through the past few months, but only by cleaning out all my savings and borrowing from friends. Now I have another hurdle, and this is where I could really use all the help I can get!
When I left LA, I had to put everything I own, clothes, furniture, kitchen stuff, etc., into storage, and now I need it, since I just found a place to live. It's going to cost over $2000 to have it brought up here, whether I have a company do it or if I do it myself. I know that once I clear this hurdle, it will be much smoother sailing, (or flying!) the rest of the way.
So, what I'm asking is, could you please consider making a small donation, $5, $10, or whatever you can, to help me get my things delivered, and help me pay back some of the money I borrowed? And also, would you please forward this on to anyone else who you think could help? It would mean the world to me and I would so appreciate anything you can do! And I promise, when you come up to Sacramento to visit me, I will make you the best damn dinner you've ever had!
All my love,
Lisa
