I’ve been visiting Glastonbury for over 20 years, on and off, whenever life has allowed it. Over that time, it’s become more than just a place to me. It’s somewhere that represents inclusivity, kindness, spirituality, and connection in a world that can often feel like it’s heading in the opposite direction.
In 2026, I finally began turning that long-held passion into something more structured: a website dedicated to Glastonbury as it changes and evolves through the 21st century. It’s a mix of a visitor’s guide, photography gallery, blog, and an ongoing archive of the place and its culture.
So far, I’ve:
Built and launched the website
Created a Facebook page
Shared hundreds of my own photographs
Written guides for visitors
Documented the site and its events over the years
All of this has been done in my spare time, alongside a full-time office job.
Why I’m asking for help
Like many people, I’m balancing work, rent, bills, and supporting my family. Taking time away isn’t easy to justify financially, even for something I care deeply about.
A single day off work costs me just over £100, and when you add travel and accommodation, the cost of returning to Glastonbury quickly becomes prohibitive.
What I’m hoping to do is raise enough to:
Take a short period away from work
Travel back to Glastonbury
Spend dedicated time updating the site with fresh content
Why this matters to me
Glastonbury has had a real positive impact on my mental health. Living with physical and mental health battles and the pressures of everyday life, it can sometimes feel like everything is a bit overwhelming.
But being there reminds me that there is kindness, openness, and creativity in the world. - that people can come together in positive and meaningful ways.
This project is my way of holding onto that—and sharing it with others.
What your support will help create
If funded, I’ll be able to:
Capture new photography of Glastonbury
Update and expand my visitor guides
Document changes and new additions to the site
Share a fresh, honest perspective of Glastonbury today
This isn’t just for me—it’s also for:
People who love Glastonbury but can’t visit
Those curious about the town, its various cultures, practices and beliefs
Anyone looking for something hopeful and real in the world
A personal note
I’m not a big organisation or a professional media company - just someone trying to build something meaningful and enduring in a world that seems to be darkening.
If you’re able to support, even in a small way, it would genuinely help me continue this project and keep growing it into something special.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page means just as much.
Thank you for showing me some love
