Hi everyone,

This fall, I’m transferring to UC Davis to complete my bachelor’s in Sociology — a huge milestone for me as a first-generation college student and the first in my family to attend a UC.

I’ve worked hard balancing full-time work, college, and community advocacy — most recently as a Patient Advocate while also earning honors and Phi Theta Kappa membership. Now, I need help to make this next step possible.

I was recently approved for housing in Davis starting in September, but I need support covering a few essential costs:

August rent, move-in expenses, utilities, and travel/moving prep.

To make things more difficult, I’m having surgery on June 23 and will be on unpaid medical leave for six weeks, leaving me unable to work during this critical transition.

This is a one-time request to bridge the gap — so I can recover, relocate, and start this chapter strong without falling into debt or instability.
