Our beloved Hero Deserves a proper goodbye

Fallen Hero Deserves a proper goodbye

On May 16, 2021 Domingo sacrificed his life for his grandson whom he loved more than life itself. Domingo Soto was a kind, selfless, gentle man who loved his family very much. On May 16, he took his family to the beach for some much-needed family bonding time and unfortunately when he realized his grandson was drowning, he ran in to  save him, which he successfully did. However, Domingo tragically drowned in saving his sweet grandson. All donations will go directly to Domingo’s family for a proper burial and a final farewell.  The family appreciates any and all donations.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A man’s effort to save his 11-year-old grandson as the boy struggled in rough surf at Playalinda Beach ended with the man drowning.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said a 58-year-old Kissimmee man was with his family on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. when he noticed his grandson struggling to swim so he went in the water to help him.

As they were on their way back to the shore, the man was swept under by a wave. He disappeared in the water for a few minutes and when he resurfaced he was unresponsive.

Deputies said CPR was performed but the man died.
