My brother Drew and all of us siblings come from a not so easy background, each of us facing our own hardships growing up. Drew spent his childhood in foster care until he was 19, and because of the challenges he experienced, he sometimes struggled with building relationships and trust. Even so, Drew was always positive and cheerful, and he would lend a hand to anyone before thinking of himself.
I never got to meet Drew before he passed away from cancer, but when I found out I had another brother, I reached out to him. We spent time talking and sharing our stories, slowly building a bond as we learned about each other's lives. I regret not meeting him in person sooner, but I am grateful for the connection we made and the memories we shared, even if it was from a distance. Now, I want to honor his memory and say goodbye in person, but the costs of travel to Montana and funeral arrangements are more than I can manage on my own.
The funds raised will help cover travel expenses, funeral costs, and anything else that comes up as we try to give Drew the farewell he deserves. Please help me meet and say goodbye to my brother. At 25, I am just not in a place to handle this alone, and any support means the world to me and my family.
