Another congenital defect.
Another life that depends on us stepping in.
This little girl has atresia ani — meaning she was born without a normal anus. Instead, she has been passing faeces through a fistula via her vulva… something no puppy should ever have to endure. If left untreated, this condition is not just uncomfortable — it can lead to serious infections, chronic pain, and damage to her urinary system and kidneys. For those who followed Tooshie’s journey… yes, this is happening again. Right here in Perth. And just like before doing nothing isn’t an option.
My name is Kate, I’m a veterinary nurse at Warwick Vet Hospital and I run Moon’s Mission, a small rescue initiative I started in memory of my dog Moon. This puppy has been surrendered into my care, and I have a foster home ready to support her through recovery. I will be overseeing her care alongside our veterinary team, and she is currently undergoing treatment with Dr Taka at Cedar Mountain Vet. Where your donations go:
Every dollar raised will go directly towards her veterinary care, including: * Specialist surgery to reconstruct a functional anus * Anaesthesia, hospitalisation and monitoring * Medications and pain relief * Ongoing aftercare and follow-up treatments All funds are used solely for her medical treatment and care through veterinary clinics.
We’ve already seen what these cases involve emotionally, physically, and financially. Tooshie’s journey taught us a lot… but it also showed what’s possible when people come together. And this little girl deserves that same chance. I know I don’t have it in me to do this alone again… but with the right support behind her, she has a real shot at a normal life.
Helping her would honestly be the best birthday present Tooshie could ask for.
If you can donate… thank you.
If you can share, that matters just as much. Because she didn’t choose this… but we can choose to help her.
