In April 2025, my world shattered. My wife, Katie, passed away from leukemia just 36 hours after diagnosis. There was no time to prepare. No chance to say goodbye properly. One moment, we were planning our future. The next, I was left clinging to the pieces of the life we built together.

And one of those pieces is our home.

Katie and I didn’t just buy a house—we built one. Together. It sits on the land we chose, right next to her parents. We picked every detail. Every wall, every window, every corner carries her spirit. This isn’t just a house. It’s the last place I held her. It’s where her laughter still echoes in the walls. It’s where I feel her the most.

But I’m on the edge of losing it.

Since Katie’s passing, I’ve faced overwhelming medical bills, funeral expenses, and a mortgage that’s too much for one person to handle—especially in the middle of grief. I’ve deferred payments as long as I could. That deferment ends soon. Without immediate help, I’ll be forced to leave the only place that still feels like her.
