Help Me Save Sabre — He’s Fighting for His Life
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Kelly.
I don’t ask for help easily.
But right now… I need to.
Because someone I love deeply is fighting for his life.
His name is Sabre. He’s my first cat. Honestly, I was nervous about getting a pet, but the moment me and my son met him, it was instant love. He slid right into our lives like he’d always been there. He’s funny, independent, loving, and somehow always knows when we need comfort. He just gets us.
A few days ago, everything changed. He stopped eating, barely moved, and started showing signs of seizures and confusion. It’s been scary and heartbreaking. After being seen by two vets—including a specialist—he’s now in hospital undergoing urgent care.
He’s been diagnosed with severe anemia, and the vets suspect an immune-mediated disease, neurological infection, or something affecting his brain. His red blood cell count is dangerously low, and he may need a blood transfusion to survive. He’s also being assessed for partial seizures, and there’s a strong chance he’ll need an MRI and spinal tap to figure out what’s really going on.
The treatment, diagnostics, and hospital care are expected to cost between £4,000 and £6,000.
I’ve already spent what I could, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t cover it alone.
So I’m here, asking. If you can donate anything at all, it will go directly to his care. And if you’re not able to give, a share would mean the world.
Sabre isn’t just a pet.
He’s family. He means everything to me and my family and I truly believe he’s still got a chance to pull through.
Thank you so much for reading this, for caring, and for any support you can give.
With love,
Kelly
