All my life I have known that I wanted to work in Veterinary Medicine. I loved fixing my stuffed animals that had "broken legs", I would listen to their hearts with my stethoscope, and play "Doctor". Years later as an adult I made my childhood dream come true. I now work in veterinary medicine, in a zoological setting. I have a passion for wildlife and animals facing extinction. I have been chosen to attend a Continuing Education Conference in South Africa in August 2020. This conference will teach me new and emerging medical advances in my field. Rhinoceros and Elephant populations are dwindling in Africa. Attending this conference I will learn how they deal with human and animal conflicts, field medicine for local wildlife including rhinoceros and elephant, and learn cutting edge technology for in vitro fertilization for rhinoceros. With your help I will be able to make this journey and help these animals that I am so passionate about. Save the Fluffy Unicorns!
