Help Me Save Rambo – The Stray Who Chose Me

Hi, my name is Ali, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit to ask for your help.

For over a year, I’ve been quietly looking after a stray cat who slowly began to trust me, one day at a time. I named him Rambo. Not just for his tough exterior, but because of the battles he’s clearly been through and survived.

Rambo has spent most of his life fending for himself on the streets, after being abandoned by his previous owner. He’s endured freezing winters with no shelter, gone days without food, and faced constant threats from the outside world. Life has been nothing short of brutal. He’s been attacked by foxes multiple times, leaving him with visible wounds that still mark his fragile body. But now, he’s facing something even more alarming, a strange swelling in his stomach that feels abnormal and uncomfortable. It’s terrifying not knowing what’s happening inside him, and he urgently needs a scan to find out.

The vet has confirmed he has conjunctivitis, and needs treatment straight away. The consultation alone cost me £65. His eye medication will cost around £150, and the urgent stomach scan is upwards of £500. I’m trying to stay strong, but I simply can’t afford these costs on my own.

Cats Protection have generously offered to cover his neutering, microchipping, and £100 toward his care, which I’ve already used for the initial vet visit. But everything else, the medication, scan, and any further medical treatment is beyond my reach.

Despite everything he’s been through, Rambo found his way back to me and after all his suffering, I know it’s my calling to give him the life he’s always deserved. I’m ready to take him in permanently and give him the warm, safe, and loving home he’s never had. But before I can welcome him fully into my life, I need to make sure he’s healthy, pain-free, and finally at peace.

Please, if you can, help me save this beautiful boy. I don’t have much, and I’m struggling to make ends meet, but I couldn’t turn my back on him. He chose me, and I feel a deep responsibility to give him the second chance he so desperately needs.
