Hi everyone,
I never thought I’d be in the position of writing something like this, but I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my beloved seven-month-old kitten, Skylo.
Over the past few days, Skylo has been showing signs of respiratory distress. He’s been breathing unusually fast, even at rest, and has started coughing on and off. As any pet parent would understand, seeing him like this has been terrifying. He’s normally a cuddly, calm, and happy little Ragdoll—but now he seems uncomfortable and not his usual self. I’m so worried, but the truth is, I don’t know what’s causing it.
The most heartbreaking part is that I can’t afford the vet costs right now to get him the thorough examination, imaging (like X-rays or ultrasounds), and possible treatment he needs. I’m doing everything I can to monitor him at home, but I know he needs professional care as soon as possible to find out what’s going on—whether it’s something like asthma, an infection, or a more serious condition like fluid around his lungs.
Skylo means the world to me. He’s more than just a pet—he’s my little companion, my emotional support, my baby. I’m doing all I can, but I can’t do this alone.
If you’re able to donate even a small amount, it would mean so much. Every dollar goes directly to helping cover his vet visit, diagnostic tests, and any treatment he may need. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page would be an incredible help, too.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting Skylo and me during this scary and uncertain time. From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Anita & Skylo
