Hello,my name is Laura, and I am humbly reaching out to share my mother’s story and ask for your support during the most difficult season of our lives. My mother,a 64 year, is a former Radio Presenter at Radio Uganda, a role she cherished because it allowed her to use her voice to inform, uplift, and connect with people across the country. She is also a loving grand mother to six,whom she loves and enjoys spending time with.But in 2021, her world changed forever when she lost her husband. The grief was overwhelming, and she slipped into a deep depression. She sought help and tried to stay strong, but the emotional weight began to strain her body in ways none of us expected. Her heart weakened, and she eventually needed a pacemaker to keep it functioning.

For a moment, we believed she was on the path to recovery. But just a year later, her health began to decline again. Her lungs grew weak, and she has now been diagnosed with interstitial lung disease. On top of that, her kidneys have begun to fail, leaving her exhausted, breathless, and unable to carry out even the simplest tasks without assistance. Each day has become a fight for her physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Today, my mother’s medical bills have become overwhelming, and the cost of her ongoing treatment is far beyond what our family can manage. Her hospital bills are outstanding, and without immediate financial support, she may not receive the critical care she urgently needs. We are therefore reaching out with humility and hope, asking for any financial support you can offer to help us continue her treatment,purchase some hospital essentials like adult diapers,food etc and give her a fighting chance.
