hi my name is Emelia and i am fundraising to help cover my horses vet bills which is currently adding up more and more daily as she has very bad lameness in her leg and it’s not getting any better.

 i don’t come from a wealthy background so i really can’t afford what it’s all adding up to so im asking for all the help i can get.

Marla (my horse) is my once in a lifetime heart horse and it would destroy me if she couldn’t be with me anymore. i’m having to get the vet out again after I already have eight times in the space of a month as her lameness is getting worse day by day and it needs sorting so she can be pain free.

She has recurring cellulitis even after having antibiotics from the vet it keeps coming back.

if you don’t know what that is, cellulitis in horses is a bacterial infection of the deeper layers of the skin and underlying tissues. It can cause swelling, heat, and nasty pain often in the limbs. 

Sometimes it stems from a wound or infection that spreads. it can be treated usually with antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and supportive care but it can take a lot of time, and in some cases, especially if severe or recurrent, it might not fully resolve. So, early vet attention is key and i have already had the vet out to see marla 8 times and it’s still not going so she needs more in dept care and i honestly need help affording these thousands of pounds in vet bills.

it hurts me so much seeing her in this pain so hopefully by starting this, I will be able to raise the money that I need to cover the vet bills and hopefully get her onto the road to recovery.

I just want my sweet girl to be better again and for us to be able to have a fun summer not a heartbreaking one like it has been so far because every day I think she’s getting a little bit better, she’s just worse the next day it’s honestly so so upsetting and knowing if it doesn’t get any better, she would have to be put down i honestly don’t know what to do with myself.

i just hate seeing the animal i love and care for so much in all this horrible pain she really doesn’t deserve it at all. She is genuinely the most sweetest horse ever.
