My name is Jerry, and here's my story. I’m reaching out because I’m facing the loss of my home. I am a former men's fashion designer that lost my business very quickly when tariffs made it impossible to manufacture my brand anywhere at all, without taking an enormous loss. I ran my business in growth mode at a little below break even in hopes of growing sales volume to get better factory prices and one day sell the brand. I gave 8 years of my life to building my brand, but it merely paid my bills, while still having to empty my life savings as a capital buffer.

The financial spiral over the past year has made it incredibly difficult to catch up. I need to make a payment to my mortgage company to stop my house from being auctioned off. Despite working hard and selling my belongings, I am still short of what I need to qualify for a foreclosure exit program. This program would allow me to keep my home and provide affordable payments moving forward, giving me the stability I need to rebuild.

I never imagined I’d be in this position. I’ve exhausted my life savings trying to stay afloat, and now I’m at a crossroads, hustling to put out financial fires as they pop up, even with a small amount of income. With only a few days left before the deadline, the math just isn’t in my favor.

Because business credit collection accounts have pushed my credit score down to 480, if I lose my home I cannot even qualify to rent, which puts me in a really scary position. I hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but I’m asking for help from anyone who can spare it. Any support—no matter the amount—would mean so much to me. After this payment, I’ll be able to get on a schedule I can afford, but right now, I’m on a tight deadline to meet the requirements and stop the auction.
