This is going to be the hardest post I have ever made. I was scammed by someone while trying to work out a mortgage modification. I truly believed I was dealing with my mortgage company, and I made multiple payments thinking I was catching up. Then, out of nowhere, I received a notice from my actual mortgage company that my house was in foreclosure. I was devastated. When I called them, I learned the payments I made didn’t count, and the company didn’t seem to care about my situation. Now, I have only days to get caught up or I will lose my house and have to give up my dogs.

My dogs have been my lifeline since my husband passed away. Losing them and my home would be more than I can bear. To say things have been hard would be an understatement. I never thought I would be in this position, but I don’t know what else to do. I am reaching out and asking for help from anyone who can support me and my dogs during this incredibly difficult time.
