This past year has been the hardest of my life. A year ago my Mom passed away, and then in January, my husband unexpectedly passed away. I am still learning how to navigate life on my own while grieving both of them.

I live with a disability and am unable to work a regular job, but I do everything I can to supplement my disability income by taking on small tasks on the computer. I’m able to manage my bills under normal circumstances, but falling behind has created a snowball effect—and getting caught up is the hard part.

I’ve made payment arrangements where possible, but I’ve fallen behind on essentials. Right now I’m facing:

$2,600 behind on my mortgage

$900 in utilities (currently on a payment arrangement)

$260 water bill on final notice - HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL, THANK YOU!

That’s a total of $3,660. Even small amounts will help me close the gap—just $10 helps keep my water service on, $25 helps chip away at utilities, and $50 makes a real difference toward my mortgage.
