Update: 22.11.25: please stop donating, my girl has liver cancer, we’ve been to the emergency vets today and after all the check ups and analysis, they discovered an orange size tumor on her liver and given her medication for making her comfortable in her last days. We have scheduled a vet to come home and help her cross the rainbow bridge on Thursday, however I think I might have them come sooner than that as today with all the stress of being at the vets for hours, she seems more unwell and she is more swollen. Thank you to all of you who have donated, the money have been used for the analysis, the medication and they will also be used for crossing the rainbow (it’s so difficult to have to write this), for the cremation, the urn, the sedation before the euthanasia. I bow in front of all of you who have been here for us and helped Isis get the analysis she needed to finally have a response and be able to take the best decision for her so that she won’t suffer. It’s not an easy decision and I don’t wish anyone to experience having to decide what to do with the life of your furry child. Thank you again!
My name is Andreea and my heart is breaking as I write this.
My 12-year-old boxer girl, Isis, who has been with me since the moment she took her first breath, collapsed recently and stopped responding. She was unconscious for several terrifying seconds.
The vets fear it’s a serious heart condition. She needs urgent specialist care: a heart scan, ECG, and further cardiology tests. The estimate is over £1,500, and I simply cannot afford it. This is the part I am most ashamed to admit.
For years, since 2014 and up to 2020 when we moved to UK, I’ve rescued over 50 animals on my own. I’ve paid for their surgeries, vaccinations, transport, food, and emergencies. I’ve fundraised for others in need. I’ve donated when I could. I’ve always chosen to help.
But now, the one who needs help is my own girl, the one that I call my child.
And I don’t have the financial strength to do it on my own this time.
Isis isn’t insured because the cost for elderly boxer insurance was too high when we moved to the UK, and the insurance companies I have looked at back then, were not covering a lot of conditions due to her age and I tried to manage without it. Now I’m facing something far beyond what I can handle.
If you can help, even £3 or £5 could literally change Isis’s future.
If you can’t donate, please share. Your share might be the reason she gets treated in time.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.
And thank you for helping me give Isis a chance she deserves. My girl is sending you all lots of kisses and tail wags.
Update 23:22, 19/11/25: I can’t thank you enough, we have reached the target and I hope this will be enough for the analysis on Monday, we need to get a biopsy, an ultrasound, X-ray of the chest, ECG and Holter monitoring. Once I have the final prices from the vet, I will update the fundraiser as I want everything to be transparent. There is a chance I might need to edit the target once I know more but today, I bow in front of all of you for all the help you have given me and Isis. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️
